Came here on Black Friday, and it wasn't too crowded.  I'm a whiny baby and don't want to wait more than 5 minutes for a ride, but 20-30 seemed to be average'ish and was tolerable. Notes: THE PINK THINGS ARE NOT THE SAME.  Screw that.  They are like cotton candy flavored now and in push pops.  Not right. The Runaway Minetrain is so legit, I love it! The new Texas Giant is legit fun.  AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR CELL PHONE. I had a rubber case on my iPhone, it was in my pocket.  I thought it felt safe.  I ignored the fact that 2500 had been lost so far, and like 7 that day.  Nooooo, wasn't going to happen to me. Six Flags has been very helpful so far in getting it back to me :)  Props to them!  From the security g...

Growing up poor, white trash... this was where my family would "vacation" during the summer.   When I was in college, my friend and I had season passes one semester.  After our morning classes, we'd hit Six Flags at least every other week until it closed for the season.  It pays for itself after 2 or so times.  So, it's a bargain as long as you stay away from the trinkets and such.  Going during the week when the youngsters are back in school, you'll virtually have the whole place to yourself. I just took my 5 year-old there for the first time.  Luckily, he's tall for his age so we could ride rides that I liked too (Shock Wave, Pandemonium etc.)  - although don't think he's "Titan Material" just yet.  Next y...

MOMS, READ THIS! Best time to go is midweek, go first thing in the morning when they open, and bring a handkerchief to help you keep cool.  I took my husband (who hates Texas heat), 6 year old son, and 4 year old daughter.  There are plenty of rides to take both children on and cool prizes to win at the game tables (my son won Shadow!).  The park was very, very clean and every attendant was kind and helpful.  I bought a funnel cake and wasn't so sure we'd like the apples on top and the lady behind the counter told me to bring it back if I didn't like it.  The park offers free cups of water at every eating place and there is a mister every 20 or so yards in every direction to help cool off.  I haven't been to...

I love Six Flags Over Texas! I've been coming here since I was 3 which really wasn't that long ago! They have made several improvements in the last few years. It's surprisingly cleaner than it use to be. It's well worth the money for a season pass. We go for a few hours so we don't get too worn out. We never go on weekends or holidays because it's too crowded. I also suggest buying a parking pass. It's worth the money if you have a season pass. There is a ton of shade so the heat is really only factor on a few rides. They've also added a bunch of smaller rides throughout the park in case you have some less thrill seeking friends or children. I've been bringing my kids since they were babies and I hope this p...

We attended during Spring Break, it seemed liked everyone and their mama decided to take their family to Six Flags at the same time as we did. FYI to self : never attended Six Flags during Spring Break week.. HWY 360 was pretty much at a standstill. Once we made it into the Six Flags gate, paid $15 bucks for parking, only available parking was touching the woods at the rear of the parking lot, walked about a mile to the gate and made a mental note that the only way my family of seven would have any opportunity to actually sit on a ride would be for me to break down and purchase the Flash Pass at $187(Gold) pass they do offer regular(less repeat rides) and Platinum($$$), that would accomodate 4 people. it mad...

I love being a Packer fan!!!  I couldn't have imagined a better place to watch the Super Bowl than here...wait, Green Bay! Jerry, you have entirely too much money.  If you ever need to get rid of some, I will write you Yelp reviews for the rest of your life! The stadium is the biggest I have ever seen.  It is extremely elegant and impressive!  Words can't even describe the monstrosity that is Cowboy's Stadium.  Just go there. The inside is spiffy and new.  I didn't watch the game inside, as peons only got to watch from the Party Plaza, but I did get a chance to blow a bunch of money on Championship gear. They had a great set-up for us outside.  Tablecloths in February?  Heat lamps in TX?  Strange, but necess...

I was a long time hold-out on The Boss Hog Bowl.  I mean, I just hate going to Arlington.  And the prices that I had heard about were just so arrogant.  I had decided that my days of going to Cowboys games were over.   Well, I was taken by a family member last weekend.  The place is awe inspiring.  A singular experience and one of the wonders of the world.  Now I may be given to hyperbole on occasion but this time I'm not guilty.   I wasn't that distracted by the board.  But it does take some effort.  Sight lines were good. The sheer size of the place is incredible.  And it is clear that no expense was spared.  Every finish and flourish on every surface, wall, etc is top notch, and beautiful.  I think that i...
