Classic artists like Monet and Van Gogh have found a home in the modern architectural designs of Grank Gehry. At the Art Gallery of Ontario, contemporary and classic meet as the brilliantly designed complex houses a number of works by the European masters, as well as contemporary sculpture and painting. Paying homage to a fairly modern form of artistic expression, the museum has a collection of over 40,000 photographs. Of course, it also pays homage to many Canadian artists including, Cornelius Krieghoff, Lucius O'Brien and James Wilson Morrice. For art lovers and young children just discovering the world of the artistic, the Art Gallery of Ontario is an eye-opening outing.
