Perfect!!

We stayed at the Mahana #308 from 6/27/12-7/9/12. It was perfect. Great condo with more than everything you need including toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, plastic wrap, spices you name it it was in the condo and free to use. I've stayed at many condos and have never had that much supplies available to me. On top of that the condo was really nice. It had been recently remodeled and it was nicely done. The shower was my favorite. I thought it even looked nicer than in the pictures from VRBO.com. It was very clean when I arrived as well. Buzz was great to deal with as well. He calls you personally to give you all the information for the condo. The condo has a digital lock wi...

Five Star view

At first, I was skeptical about this particular venue because we were never used to a condo-style resort. We wanted to stay at the Hyatt or Sheraton but the dates were unavailable. However, this was fantastic and probably more enjoyable than our other choices. We stayed in room 707. We were able to watch the sunset from the lanai (balcony) with a cup of kona coffee. We could grill our own dinner and after a day of snorkeling (which there is very easy access to from the hotel) we could relax in the jacuzzi. When we arrived at the hotel, there was only one room available on the first floor. It was convenient for access to the beach and the view was okay, but at night, we wanted to open the patio door to listen...

We stayed in room 1015 and were very impressed - high quality updated unit with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens. View was spectacular. Very clean unit and well equipped kitchen for basic cooking which was all we needed. Grocery store very close. They kept us supplied with dishwasher soap and laundry detergent as well as towels for the beach. Morning sunrises can be seen outside the front door and sunsets from the lanai. Really liked the lanai accessible from both living room and bedroom, and it made the breezes flow through the unit. They even had body boards and beach chairs in the closet for our use. Washer/dryer worked great. Only drawback was an older sofabed mattress that needed a comforter as a...

Decent Place to Stay

We stayed at the Aston Mahana from June 9-16, 2012 in room 911. Overall, we found this to be a decent property but quickly missed the conveniences of a resort. The most disappointing aspect by far was the beach. The beach was not a good walking beach at all, especially at high tide. There was no place to even put chairs or lounges in the sand to get that true beach experience - even at low tide. Our condo's accommodations were decently equipped, but outdated for the price. However, our biggest gripe was the extremely weak air conditioning unit. It far under performed for an oceanview unit that was absorbing the heat of the day and a setting sun. The unit didn't even have fans in the main living room which wa...

Good rooms with breathtaking views.

We had an excellent time at Aston Mahana. We stayed for four days in apt 1101, which is a very well maintained two bedroom suite. The incredible, post-card perfect views were even more enjoyable with its spotless floor-to-ceiling windows. From one side we’d get to see breath-taking views of the ocean and from the other we’d see views of the mountain. With Maui’s mix of rain and sun, we had daily views of a rainbow either in the front or at the back. The apartment was spacious, with a well-stocked kitchen, and TV, wireless connection etc. The beach in front is only a small strip, especially during high tide, and it’s is rocky. The coral reef is out front. The beach in front of the Westin or Sheraton is wider ...
