This was the second time our family did this submarine ride since my 4 year old was now old enough to go. It's a great way to see below, especially if you do not snorkel or scuba or ace young kids. I was also worried about being closed in but there are so many porthole that it was not an issue. Safety was also not a concern...

We scheduled the Atlantis Sub for our second full day in Maui.  We got an amazing offer of buy an adult ticket and get a child admission free on http://expedia.com .  I pre-purchased the tickets since we wanted to do this activity on a certain day, plus it probably saved me about $160 to book on expedia.    I was a little freaked about going on the sub since I don't do well in tight spaces, but I should have been more concerned about getting sea sick.  We checked in at the Atlantis Sub store located in a small strip mall by the Pioneer Inn and were directed to a slip on the pier.  We took a cheesy photo prior to departure and off we went.  The boat ride to the sub was fine but once the boat stopped moving an...

The submarine ride itself was fun - it was a first for all of us. What was disappointing was the lack of fisth. They had fish only in one ...

Decent experience to do once, but I wouldn't put it on the repeat tour. In  short, the trip was too short. The trip is about one hour and 45 minutes, but about half that time is spent getting to and leaving the sub. You only spend about 45 minutes underw...

Great way to see the bottom of the ocean if you don't dive. I worried a bit that I might feel a bit claustrophobic, but it never occurred to me to be worried, once I sat down in the sub. The viewed out the portholes were so constantly awesome!  Our guide had a sense of humor, as good guides often do, but was also very informative about what we were seeing. We were so lucky to have only one side's seating worth of people on our trip. It was great. We got to see out the portholes and view sharks, rays, and even an octopus, in addition to lots of fish, of course. Our time was over all too soon. We booked directly with them, and got the fun-pass package, which included the Maui Ocean Center, which costs $25 to g...

I'm a huge fan of the Atlantis Submarine in Lahaina.  I have been SCUBA diving many times, but my husband cannot dive because of his ears.  So, he's never been able to see what I see.  We booked this submarine trip and were extremely pleased with the whole experience. We booked online and got a discount.  We arrived at the marina, checked in, and waited for the shuttle boat out to the sub.  Everything was on time and organized.  There are public bathrooms very close to where you wait for the shuttle boat. We got on the boat then on to the sub.  The sub is easy to access via a slanted ladder.  The sub was attractive but the seating was cramped.  The trip we went on was completely sold out, so every seat was t...

Incredible experience; you actually dive down about a hundred feet under water to explore a reef and a shipwreck.  An experience you will not forget.  Check out the photos I uploaded.  Awesome for kids, there is plenty of room and a...

Again, having your kid go bonkers over a ocean voyage really sways you. Being in a submarine is pretty freakin' cool. The tour guide was a comedian wanna be, but he really pointed out a lot. We were lucky, we saw a good deal ...
