Eh, could have been way better! We went here to celebrate my sister's bday so we thought, ok we will have fun. Not as good as I thought it to be. So we get on the white boat that takes you to the actual submarine, and I gotta admit, I was a tad bit seasick. I have been on boats before, but this boat ride made me uncomfortable. I had a massive headache and just wanted to get off. It felt like such a long ride too! I was scared it would be like this in the actual submarine. So we get in the submarine and the tour was alright. Got to see fish of all colors, and even turtles. The turtles were the most fascinating to look at. But everything else looked fake. They had what looked like old battleship pieces on the ...

I was really excited to ride the submarine, first you meet up at the Hilton thats where it's located near, then you get on a boat and it sails you out to the submarine, and you also get to take a pic that you can buy at the end of the ride anyways once you get to the submarine yo...

I wasn't overly impressed!!! We rode the regular 48 or so passenger sub on April 25th at 11am. The submarine narrator's voice was absolutely annoying! He was seriously screaming in the mic the whole damn time! Also went on and on about his family and his life like anyone rea...

Nice tour for the kids. They take you out on a boat to the dive site where you board the sub. The boat ride was nice to see Waikiki from the ocean. The sub tour was educational and the kids loved seeing the artificle reefs. I wi...

It is expensive, but if by any chance you are or know someone who has a military ID, go to the Pearl Harbor NEX & get your tickets at MWR.  They are way cheaper!! If not, they do give a few discounts for AAA & other things that I can't think of right now. You get to go in a submarine, which I think is pretty darn cool because when are you EVER going to get a chance to go in a submarine to the bottom of the ocean?!  You get to see some cool fish & other man-made or natural reefs, which is kinda neat if you ask me. The workers are very friendly and helpful.  They have a little shop inside the boat that takes you to the submarine for snacks or dramamine just in case you get motion sickness.  They are very infor...

We went on this submarines ride during our week of stay in the Waikiki area, it was part of the combo deal with the Navatek sunset dinner cruise ( http://www.yelp.com/bi... ).  This was a somewhat decent scenery ride especially provide a new experience for those who never dived in deep water before.  There are scheduled bus pickups all over Waikiki if you are not staying at the Hilton, so transportation access was not a problem for us.  The offshore boat ride from dock to the submarine gives you a nice ocean sea breeze along with a great view of the entire Waikiki beach.  The submarine has very narrow space, which are you sitting back-to-back and side-to-side with everyone else, and would causes serious prob...

This was my fiance & his daughter's first time ever in Hawaii. So after booking our flight 2 months ago, we scoured the internet for good places for family activities. We came across this website. And, seeing that his daughter loves sea life & wants to "grow up to be a marine biologist", we felt this would be a good fit. I read mixed reviews on Yelp, with more saying it was good compared to awful. Now, I have my own mixed review to add to all of these other ones. The Pros: The location & scenery is gorgeous, of course. The dock is off Waikiki Beach, the ocean is clear blue and the breeze helped to cool us off on a hot day. We saw 3-4 sea turtles just chillin' on one of the wrecked ships down below. There wer...

The day I went I took my mom and three yr old son. We paid the military price so it was $130 for all three people and that was with the upgrade ( bigger windows). There are no natural reefs in that area but there man made ones that encourage fish and turtles to live in the area. We saw hundreds of colorful fish, sea turtles and even two mana rays. As many other reviewers have said it was something I am glad I did, but probably will not do again. It was interesting, educational and fun. I would not however recommend anyone pay list price. There are several ways to get deep discounts. If I had paid $100 PER person, I would be mad because in my opinion it is not worth that much. It is a fun thing to do, great f...

This was my 2nd time taking the Atlantis Submarine Excursion. For my husband and 3 year old daughter it was their first time in a Submarine and they loved it! Traveling in Hawaii with a young child is great but you ARE limited to the activities and excursions you could normally participate in if you were traveling with other adults. The Submarine is perfect for all ages including kids(must be 36" to be on-board)! The hubbs and I would have looooved to snorkel or scuba but with our daughter we knew it just wouldn't happen. Nonetheless, we didn't let that stop us from seeing the beautiful aquatic life that made its home in Oahu's waters. The price of admission includes free trolley transportation to the site a...
