Check out the museum's special events page on their website to find out about exhibits and also when you can take a ride on an actual train (they leave and return from a platform outside the roundhouse) - the days and times vary depending on the season. The museum is in a residential area without any restaurants immediately nearby - but it's also only a five-minute drive from the Inner Harbor area.
