The Badoca Safari Park has an African theme and is home to more than 600 animals mostly from the African continent. This is a kid-friendly theme park that offers a special area for younger visitors where they can pet mini horses, llamas and donkeys. Families will have a chance to see giraffes, zebras and buffalo while exploring the park during an hour-long guided Safari tour that takes place every day and lets visitors get a closer look at these creatures. The park is home to a variety of exotic birds that can be found in the Forest of Macaws and Exotic Bird Garden, some of which are in danger of becoming extinct. An exhibit about the many birds of prey who live at the park is another fun option for animal lovers who will enjoying learning about how these animals hunt and lay their eggs. Chimpanzees can be observed at the Island of Primates, and there is even a lemur exhibit where guests can feed and touch these animals with the assistance of a park guide. Picnic facilities can be found at the site, and there are also onsite restaurants for visitors to eat at. The Panoramic Restaurant offers impressive views of the park and its animals, while the self-service restaurant is a buffet-style eatery that offers dishes for kids. Families can also buy snacks, sandwiches and refreshments from one of the onsite kiosks while visiting the Badoca Safari Park.
