Banff National Park is overflowing with wildlife, and the Banff Park Museum offers families a fun, interactive way to get to know the area. Parents will love seeing their children learn about the natural habitat through the numerous animal exhibits, gain hands-on understanding of different species in the Interactive Discovery Room and even touch real fossils. Open late May through late June, and boasting more than 5,000 natural history specimens, the Banff Park Museum is a great place for adults and kids to visit in order to see a side of the Canadian Rockies that they might otherwise miss.

Tips for Families
If you have kids aged 6-11, pick up an Xplorer Club for Kids booklet at the Banff Park Museum. The booklet lists activities for kids to participate in while visiting Banff National Park, and if they’ve completed six or more activities, they can participate in an Xplorer reward ceremony.
