Beaver Creek Ski Resort is a fantastic experience for families. You can trust that your kids will not only learn to ski from the best instructors but they will also have the best time on the mountain! The ski school has theme days (e.g. Western Day, Mountain Ecology Day), lead skiers through teepees and covered wagons nestled in the trees, teach them about the environment and skier safety in a fun way and hand them off to you at the end of the day with a smile and an evaluation that makes you feel like you were a part of their day. At 3pm daily, chefs meet skiers coming off the mountain with warm chocolate chip cookies. Various nights there are apres ski activities for families like tubing, snowshoe tours, outdoor ice skating, and movie nights. The highlight of the week is Thursday Night Lights where kids ride up the mountain on the gondola and ski down with glow sticks, set to music and led by the ski patrol and instructors . Once down the mountain, the skies light up with a gorgeous fireworks display. My kids have always enjoyed the apres ski scene at the Hyatt, open to the public, with a fire pit and gourmet smore making, live music and snow play. You just can't get any better than this! It's the ultimate place for a family ski vacation!
