Must-do if you're in Myrtle Beach and are not actually at the beach. This boardwalk area surrounding a water feature (pond? man-made lake?) has something for everyone from the Aquarium to the Kids' Museum to stores, restaurants and l...

This place is great! This is the first stop we make when my family visits Myrtle Beach. I love the Nostalgia Park area of the boardwalk. Its got a good selection of carnival/fair rides and games. Not a big fan of rides but we went on the Pirate Ship and it scared me to death. LOL They've got plenty of places to eat. Margaritaville, Senor Frogs, The Pretzel Shop, Key West Grill, Ben&Jerry's and a ton more! They have Celebrity Square for those who like to party and drink. It starts poppin at night, probably around 8 or 9pm. It's got some bars and clubs, and sometimes live entertainment. There are about 4 or 5 caricature stands to get your pic drawn and turned into a cartoon. Always a good souviner when coming ...

TOURIST TRAP TO THE MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place reminds me of Universal Studios in Orlando. There is something for everybody here. TIP:  Bring Cash!!!!   Most of the vendors only accept cash (credit cards can be used in the retail stores though) so if you want to ride the bull (they have a mechanical bull. Two to be exact)  you are going to have to fork up the money the folds. Giant Moon bounces for the kids -the area is sectioned off with chairs, patio furniture so you can sit comfortably while your kids let loose- 6-8 Giant Moon Bounces they can choose from(this place only takes cash) Wet Willies!!!!  Senor Frogs!!!!-  If you are familar with these places then your face will light up with glee when you see...

If this isn't a tourist trap, I don't know what is.  Quite frankly, this place reminds me of Disney World's Pleasure Island all rolled up into Downtown Disney. There are amusement rides, there are shops, there are restaurants (this is where you will find the local Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood), and there are bars and lots of things for kids and adults who still have a kid-like attitude, to enjoy themselves.  They have a big lake with boat rides with a bunch of the restaurants are right on the water. The fireworks seem to be nightly thing over the lake and they put on a good show.  Just be sure to bring lots of cash (or plastic), and be selective with what you choose to do, otherwise it's going to get ...

I wish the Broadway boardwalk featured more local boutiques (in place of stores like Victoria's Secret); but it's still a solid destination when visiting the beach. Lots of restaurants to choose from (I've had everything from crab legs to teppenyaki), shopping, even mini golf with a fire-breathing dragon. Kids w...
