Tips for Families

Brings some snacks with you. There is a snack bar but it is limited and fairly expensive. The stroller is a smart bet because it is a pretty long walk back to the car after spending the day walking.

Tips for Families

Prices can be high here and there's also tons of junk but it's still fun. You can get fresh praline samples, gelato and candy per the pound at Savannah Candy Kitchen (Market St & East Bay St). Benne wafers are the local specialty cookie and found in the market.

Tips for Families

I like to park in the parking garage by the Visitor Center (off Meeting St). They sell inexpensive snacks/drinks in the lobby that you can eat outside or in the lobby picnic area. Cupcake on King St is a great post museum treat. Basil on King St is super yummy - my kids LOVE the Chicken Coconut soup.
