We have a family membership for the Children's Museum so we usually choose one or two parts of the museum to explore each visit. There is so much to see and do that you can easily spend an entire day there.
Tips for Families
The Tot Spot on the third floor is best for the under 2 age group. While older siblings are allowed in, it really isn't a great place for them to spend a lot of time. If you have 2 or more adults in your group, plan to split up for a little while. The Basement level is a great place for older sibs to go while baby sibs are in Tot Spot. The outdoor Waterworks area can be potentially drenching! You may want to bring a dry set of clothes if your child is especially adventurous. The climbing tower in the middle of the museum has multiple entrances and exits. Plan accordingly! There are free lockers at the front of the museum (near the Fiddlesticks Gift shop). Drop your purse or diaper bag before exploring and free up your hands to play!

Great Place to take the kids!
The Chldren's Museum has lots of things to do for kids of all ages. It is interactive and offers a variety of activities for ages birth on up. We personally love the Tot Spot on the second floor. This area is geared specifically for children ages birth to 35 months. The area has lots to offer and includes activities for parents to interact with children with suggestions. There is even a small slide! We also love the Waterworks area outside in the heat too! My only complaint is that you have to pay to park across the street in the parking garage. If you can find street parking or meter parking, it is MUCH cheaper. The place gets busy on weekends too. They do offer a free first Sunday of the month event and fr...
