The Coastal Kayak Touring Company offers a diverse package of tours that take advantage of the Outer Banks' reputation as a “paddler's paradise.” Each tour is designed to explore one of 6 different areas of the Outer Banks: the Pine Island Audobon Sanctuary, the Maritime Forest & Marsh, the Peter Mashoes Creek at Alligator River, the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and the False Cape State Park. Visitors don't need to be experienced kayakers to enjoy these tours; the Coastal Kayak Touring Company gives lessons for first-timers, children and adults alike. Each tour lasts from 2 to 3 hours and allows visitors the opportunity to view a wide variety of wildlife, including bald eagles and the world's only wild population of red wolves.
