The Cutty Sark is a famous clipper ship that now functions as a popular tourist attraction in Greenwich, London. Built in 1869, the Cutty Sark was one of the last clippers to be built and one of the fastest; steamboats eventually replaced ships like the Cutty Sark and most clippers were retired and dismantled. The Cutty Sark is one of the last remaining ships of its kind; a fire in 2007 caused widespread damage to the ship but extensive repairs have restored it to its previous glory.
