This non-profit, organic permaculture farm also serves as an educational homestead, and regularly hosts engaging events and workshops for visitors. The farm's camping options and cozy on-site accommodations also make it possible for visitors to get a genuine farm experience. Kids will love getting down and dirty in the organic garden and learning about the resident chickens, pigs and cows, while parents will appreciate D Acres of New Hampshire’s seasonal cooking, blacksmithing and food preservation classes. Plus, the whole family can get in on the farm’s wildlife and nature walks. Those just passing through can also stop for the famous Farm Feast Breakfast and Open house, pizza and movie nights or the casual potluck and open mic events. Spring and summer visitors are treating to lovely blooms and the hustle and bustle of planting, while fall visitors can enjoy the harvest amongst New Hampshire’s blazing foliage. During the fall the farm has even been known to throw a traditional barn dance featuring local fiddlers!
