Located in Dayton, Ohio within the National Aviation Heritage Area, the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is a kid-friendly historical park that celebrates and honors three important figures in United States history - aviation pioneers the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, and American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar - as well as their work. It was originally stated to preserve the Wright brothers' legacy. Within the park are several important landmarks and sites, like the Wright Cycle Company and the Paul Laurence Dunbar State Memorial, and kid-friendly programs that not only provide valuable historical lessons for the kids but also pique their interest in science and encourage their creativity.
