Tips for Families

Maybe get some breakfast food to keep in the hotel (there is a mini-fridge and microwave, no toaster) because you kind of have to get ready for the day before heading down to the buffet breakfast which is on the Boardwalk. Also, if you have small kids you might want to ask for a room at the end of the hallway so the noise from people walking by is less of an issue.

Tips for Families

You can leave your car in the garage (free parking) and walk pretty much everywhere you'd need to go in Rehoboth. We brought our kids' wagon to help us get stuff down to the beach. There is a little convenience store on the corner near the hotel but last time we were there they did NOT sell swim diapers and we had to drive all the way up on the highway to get them--make sure you have a good stock!

Tips for Families

The name is not indicative of any violence, which was a relief of sorts- it was a famous local's surname. Imagining why it could have such a horrible name turned out to be unnecessary. There are a LOT of horseshoe crabs washing ashore- we are of the opinion that even if you can't save them all, it still matters to the one you're saving if you take the time and effort! :)

Ok, if rock tumblers are your thing.

Tips for Families

Beware the rock tumbling breakers on the beach. Not easy for little ones, especially. Certain places have a bad riptide but this didn't appear to be a big problem here. Always, always, always be aware of where your kids are by the water. We bought fluorescent yellow shirts so we could easily spot them, even underwater if necessary. It was very helpful to find them!!!
