The Destin History and Fishing Museum may be small, but its fantastic collection of historical and educational exhibits is guaranteed to impress. The museum has amassed numerous artifacts hailing from the community’s 1830’s founding to the present. Visitor favorites include 60 colorful mounted fish, a fishing rod once owned by Ernest Hemingway and the beautifully restored Primrose, Destin’s last seine boat. The Destin History and Fishing Museum also features an original post office that once served the area’s early settlers, a bait shop and a recreated cottage kitchen.
