Truly a zoo of the world, the Detroit Zoo boasts 125 acres of land, home to a variety of animals from the Arctic, Australia, Africa, Asia and several other continents. Over 280 species of mammals, amphibians and insects live at the zoo. The Arctic Ring of Life is North America’s largest polar bear exhibit. While visiting these furry animals guests might just spot an arctic fox or a playful seal too. The Australian Outback will delight children of all ages as they get face to face with red kangaroos and wallabies. The Asian Forest is home to tigers, red pandas and other exotic animals. A crowd favorite is the Penguinarium, home to three species of these cute birds. Be sure to stop by the African Forest to see the Great Apes of Harambee. Other attractions include a 3D show about animals, a carousel and train. These are just a few of the many fun exhibits to check out during a trip to the Detroit Zoo.
