Dinosaur Valley State Park, located in Somervell County near Glen Rose, TX, is a National Natural Landmark covering 1,500 acres of land famous for its fossilized dinosaur prints. Families are free to hike, camp, picnic, fish and swim in the park when they're not ogling at the large footprints (some estimated to be 110 million years old). Charts are brochures at the Visitors Center show several places where the footprints can be viewed. Camping accommodations and facilities are available at Dinosaur Valley State Park.
