Watch the weather - could be unpleasant if weather is not right.Flag review
We have visited Dinosaur World twice, both with mixed results. You enter through the large gift shop, where you get your tickets. Tons of dinosaur toys, figures, stuffed animals, books, etc. Be prepared for the whining to start as soon as you walk in. The main attraction is the walking trail that showcases more dinosaurs than I ever knew there were. They are nicely done, colorful, have signs with information on the type, and several good spots for pictures. There is also a toddler playground and a dino-dig, allowing kids to dig in the sand for shark teeth, gems, and other treasures, which they get to keep. Nicely done, but we do think it is a bit overpriced.
Tips for Families
Watch the weather. The trail has you out in the sun, and if it's a warm day, or if it's been a long day, the kids will be done about half way through. Be sure to have lunch first - will keep the energy up longer. Hammond's BBQ in town is a great family-friendly place.
