Fantastic moderate resort
We loved our stay in building 18 at Port Orleans Riverside! The property has beautiful, lush landscaping, with lots of activities right there at the resort. We enjoyed the boat rides. The pools were amazing!! Our accommodations were comfortable and very clean. Bus service was timely and better than when we stayed at the value resorts. The quick service restaurant had tasty snacks and a good selection of foods.
Tips for Families
Our room accommodated five, with one of our beds having a trundle. Building 18 was in a great spot, a short walk to the main building. The refillable mugs are worth the price.

Beautiful grounds and family fun
The grounds were so lush plant life was wonderful. We saw many animals during our stay just around the grounds. One morning on my morning walk I even got to witness Otters at play in a small pond. The rooms were nice and comfy and the dining was good.
Tips for Families
If eating counter service get there early as it does get crowded. and buses are sometimes hit or miss in the afternoon for return from the Disney parks. We liked the big pool, but the smaller “quiet” pools were just as fun with a shorter walk.

Such a great experience!
This was a fully magical experience. The lobby was exquisite, the staff helpful, the Royal Rooms the perfect amount of cheesy. We loved the pool and hot tub, really enjoyed the food court, and even the gift shop was great and had an extensive selection! Next time, we’d do one fewer day at the parks, because the resort itself had so much to offer and we wish we had time to experience more of it. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to go back!
Tips for Families
Do the dining plan! It ends up being a really great value.

So much fun
Our room was so nice, we were in Alligator Bayou, some may go for the mansion side of this resort, but we liked the laid back side. Our Quiet pool was only a few steps away from our room and was open around the clock, which was great after coming home from the parks or in the afternoon. The beds were comfy and the room was spacious even with five people. We really liked the double sinks when getting ready in the morning. This is a large resort, but we opted for the preferred section which meant we were closer to the main building for dining and closer to the bus stop for transportation to and from the parks. This is a moderate resort in Disney terms. The themeing was very good and we enjoyed the pool games offered at the main pool daily. The arcade was fun but a little expensive. The girls got their hair wrapped by the main building and the even took the boats to downtown Disney one evening.
Tips for Families
In the evening in the lounge there is a family fun show, free for guests featuring Bob, he was entertaining for the whole family and made for a great night of laughter and fun, most likely the best day of the trip! Also Pin trading is everywhere here on property and the kids really enjoined trading with friendly cast members. They even have horse drawn carriages and surrey bikes for added fun.
