GREAT FOR ALL AGE KIDS & ADULTS
From a suggestion from my good friend, we started going to the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort in Oxnard, CA. This place is like a Hawaiian resort! My kids LOVED this. It was great having 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms since there are 4 of us, which makes getting ready in the mornings so much easier. The pool is fantastic, with towel service by the pool, 2 hot tubs to choose from, and the beach is just few steps away from the pool. During the summer months they set up a few games on the grass near the pool for the kids to play. They also used the tennis court for a few kid friendly games & things to do. There are all sorts of bikes, 2 seaters, 4 seaters,etc you can rent to cruise the property or head down the paths along the beach to a park. My daughter & I did the low seat 2 person bike for an hour. It also helped that there was a full buffet breakfast in the morning and happy hour{free drinks for the adults, whatever you want} at night with some snacks. Who would want to leave the Hotel. The food at the restaurant in the Hotel is very good. On certain nights they offer free dance lessons in the attached bar area. Last summer my Cousin & I learned Salsa on Fri. night while my daughter & husband watched. Even though we didn’t travel far for our MINI-VACATION, it was a fun, relaxing place to go. We have now been going to this location for the past 4 years, and I thank my girlfriend for suggesting it. It’s perfect for all ages!!!
Tips for Families
If you’re getting a 1 room suite and have more than 2 kids, bring either a blow up mattress or sleeping bag for more kids, since only 2 can sleep in the sofa sleeper. If you intend on going to the beach bring your own beach towels since the Hotel frowns on taking the Hotel towels to the beach and may charge you if they go missing.
