A rescue and education facility, the 175-acre Farm Sanctuary is home to more than 500 cows, pigs, turkeys and other farm animals in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. Families are encouraged to take an hour-long guided tour to meet the rescued animals and learn about their stories of struggle and survival. Farm staff educates visitors about the realities farm animals face in the modern factory farming industry. Afterwards, families can peruse the Education Center, filled with literature, videos, displays and cruelty-free gift items. Located next to the Sugar Hill State Forest, the Farm Sanctuary is both a fun and educational outing for families visiting the Finger Lakes Region in New York.
