Rating for your family
See what rural, village life was really like in the 19th century at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown. The museum provides visitors with a rare look back in time through demonstrations and interpretive exhibits. Founded in 1943, the museum attractions include a working farmstead, a recreated historic village, carousel and a colonial revival stone barn listed on the National Register for Historic Places. Upstate New York architecture is preserved, along with early agricultural tools and equipment, and heritage livestock. The museum's collection of more than 23,000 items is educational for the whole family.
