Ford’s Rouge Plant is a Ford automobile factory complex that can be explored in a self-guided five-part tour. Start with a brief but compelling movie in the Legacy Theater, exploring the highs and lows of the Rouge’s past, including never-before-seen footage. The Art of Manufacturing Theater, labeled a “multi-sensory” experience, gives families insight into how automobiles are made. The Observation Deck Tour brings guests out to see the world’s largest living roof while the Assembly Plant Walking Tour brings them back to reality as they see how Ford automobiles are created. Kids who enjoy shows like “How It’s Made” will especially enjoy the manufacturing process. Last but not least on the tour is the Legacy Gallery where the most antiquated vehicles and the sleekest, newest models share space. Ford’s Rouge Plant is truly a unique experience.
