The Foundling Museum presents the history of the Foundling Hospital, the United Kingdom's first home for abandoned children. The Museum features two famous art collections, the Foundling Hospital Art Collection as well as the Gerald Coke Handel Collection, the world's biggest private collection of George Frideric Handel. The Founding Hospital Art collection contains works by some of the greatest British artists of the 18th century, including Thomas Gainsborough, William Hogarth and Joshua Reynolds. Visitors to the museum can also view furniture, photographs and other items from the days of the Founding Hospital.
