Gibb's Hill Lighthouse, Southampton, Bermuda
Lighthouse Road (between South Shore and Middle rds.), Southampton, Bermuda| Map |
The completely restored Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is unique in that it is among the few lighthouses in the world to be made of cast-iron. Situated on the highest hill in Bermuda, the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse is the taller of the two lighthouses on the island. Although there is a 185-step climb to the top, visitors will be rewarded with panoramic views of Bermuda. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily at the Lighthouse Tea Room, a restaurant converted from the lighthouse keeper's former living quarters. The restaurant is located at the base of the tower.
