Gibson guitars have become household name. Any guitar player knows of the famous Gibson Les Paul, but few may know anything about the history and construction of these guitars. A visit to the Gibson Guitar Factory should fix any lack of knowledge. Founded in Nashville Tennessee in 1902 Gibson has a rich musical history. A tour of the factory gives families the chance to witness Gibson's Luthiers crafting these fine guitars. The whole process can be viewed from binding and neck-fitting, to painting, buffing and tuning. The tour will be especially interesting for the guitar player of the family, but all should be intrigued by the process of creation at the Gibson Guitar Factory.
