Tips for Families

You can walk or bike across the 1.7-mile bridge and take a break at the café or gift shop on the San Francisco side. If you have time, get lunch on the Marin side of the Bridge in Sausalito, a beautiful little town on the water.

Tips for Families

The pathway can get a bit crowded and people aren't always courteous of those slower than they are, so if traveling with young children I'd recommend bringing a stroller to keep them from being trampled by joggers or bikers. It can also be a bit windy, so bring a sweater!

I would give it 4.5 if I could. Only because while it's pretty I dislike all the construction going on around it. Not to mention how freakin expensive it is now! Still remember back in the day when it was $2 and now I think it's $6. I know everyone hates on the toll. :p The only time I come here now is when friends are in town visiting and they want to see it. Agree the scenery is still nice and an awesome view. Taken so many pictures of the bridge (day and night) from different angles.   Usually I get lucky and there is no fog, but windy and foggy days it has it's beauty as well. Of course, it's a definitely a must see if you're visiting California, or NorCal specifically. Been here so often since I was a k...
