The official Golden Gate Park hours are from dawn to 10:00 pm. However, keep in mind that many places within the park keep independent hours. Golden Gate Park is free to enter, but some exhibits and attractions do charge admission. Some locations offer free days or free weeks, and planning your trip around these times can be a great way to make the most of your vacation budget while visiting Golden Gate Park attractions.

Tips for Families
Check out the bison paddock on Kennedy Drive (near 38th Avenue) and the rollerskating area at 6th Avenue and Kennedy Drive on Sundays (when park streets are closed to traffic). A playground and carousel are near Sharon Field. Other playgrounds can be found on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (near 18th Avenue) and Lincoln Way at 47th Avenue.

Golden Gate Park is, for a lack of a better word, awesome! I know that when you think of San Francisco's gloomy weather, it's a bit difficult to picture yourself in a gorgeous park with sunny weather. Well, Golden Gate Park offers you just that.... except maybe not in the sunny bit.
