Once the home of the king, the king of rock n' roll that is, Graceland has become a major Memphis tourist attraction. The mansion's white columns, musical gate, lions guarding the entrance and 23 lavish rooms have become known far and wide for their gaudy splendor. As the home of Elvis Presley, it attracts many music industry notables and fans, who come to pay their respects each year. Walking through the house, tourists will find many wonders. The most interesting room is probably the Jungle Room. Famously housing an indoor waterfall, this room was where Elvis recorded some of his later albums. Other attractions of the home include a museum, which holds many great Presley artifacts such as his Vegas jumpsuit, awards, gold records and his extensive auto collection. Parents will appreciate the history and savor a few moments of quietly saluting the king in the Meditation Gardens, while kids will love the Hollywood-esque, over-the-top element of this much visited mansion. Be one of the 600,000 visitors each year by stopping by Presley's grand estate, Graceland.
