Awesome Family Hotel in Maui

Flag review

Tips for Families

I think this is a great vacation to take with a variety of ages. When we went, our kids were 4 and 6, but I think they'd have just as much fun now that they're teenagers.

Hawaiian Fantasy Land for Children

Tips for Families

Pool service waiters wil try to sell you a giant reusable mug, shaped like either a tiki statue ora pineapple. I'd pass on this; it will be the same price to refill as it is to buy a new Lava Flow, just twice as much. No one needs 28 oz of Lava Flow or Pina Colada in one sitting.

It's a five-minute walk from the resort property to the Shops at Wailea.

Suggestions for nearby family-friendly restaurants

The Shops at Wailea have a good assortment of family-friendly restaurants.

The front desk will get you a shuttle between the condos and the resort fairly quickly when you give them a call.

Great service ... Time for a Facelift.

Great hotel for the family. When we arrived we were told that the room we booked with two queens was not available so that upgraded us to a king in the concierge section on the 8th floor. This area has a keyed gate and gives you free breakfast and afternoon appetizers and drinks from 4-6 !!!! Grea...

The Wait in Line Resort

Submitted by: FamilyWhOTravels_12

First visit to the resort. If you choose to stay here, I strongly suggest that you love to wait in line. Also, expect to rush down to the pool and beach and get your towel on chairs to reserve your chair. You will be told very quickly that if you don't actually sit in your chair the whole day and leave for a 1/2 an hour, that your chair will be given away. Stayed in a room for 800+ dollars a night which was an ocean view room. Base rate was 699 + taxes + resort fee + mandatory parking. Very surprised to have an experience close to a much-cheaper-all inclusive-resort-in-Mexico. Before booking, I think you should know that: 1. You will stand in line to get your bracelet and towels for the day about 15 minutes....
