Greenfield Village is part of the Henry Ford Center. These seven historic districts take guests back in time as they follow the life of Henry Ford through his childhood to his success as owner of the Ford Motor Company. Take a ride in an old-fashioned automobile as a costumed tour guide drives down Main Street. Tourists aside, visitors won’t find the normal residents of the city in the village. Strolling the streets are women holding parasols and beribboned in the latest fashions of the 1800s and men tipping their hats as they check the time on their pocket watches. Stop by Working Farms and engage the kids in a realistic portrait of 1880s farm life. Thomas Edison can be seen hard at work on his inventions. Last but not least is the farmhouse where Henry Ford was born and the Model T was invented. Greenfield Village is a fun way to bring the artifacts of the Henry Ford Museum to life in an exciting and unique experience.
