Six Flags Great America

We are very lucky to get to this company exclusive event in Six Flags Great America every early Sept. This year we spent about 6 hours in the park and truly enjoy the whole evening. There were a few wonderful rides for 6-10 year old and for me. Demon was a nice surprise for me. I didn't think a ride with a minimum 42" height required would be so much fun. Demon has two loops and corkscrews. The whole ride was fast and smooth. My kids loved it and I was happy to rode on this with them for the second time. Giant Drop was a first time for kids this year. I was surprised they did not fear 227 feet drop. I loved the floating in the midair feeling when I was dropping and butt was not touching on the seat at all. K...

My season passes were totally worth it! I don't take my child to eat here because the food is expensive. But I also got a parking pass, which was VERY worth it. My son never objected to going to Six Flags this summer, and was always very excited to go. I went twice without him and this year. I actually went on the Giant Drop! WHAT A RUSH! I don't know if I'd ever do it again, but I can finally say I did! When I have gone on the "Big Kid" rides the only one that had a ridiculous wait time was Super Man (also my first time riding) but totally worth the wait! My son LOVES the Demon and we always ride front or back carts. Six Flags totally made my summer and my son's! Giant Drop... Check off my Bucket List! lol ...

I have not been back to Six Flags Great America for almost a decade.  We couldn't justify the prices for the last 5 years because our son was way too little to ride the majority of the rides there, and the few that were didn't seem to justify the admission cost for 3 as my husband and I would not be able to participate much.  I could recall before having a child, a trip to Six Flags easily cost over $100 a person when you added tickets, parking, and food..  It still does.   This summer, we were more than ready.  My opinion of Six Flags being too expensive has somewhat changed.  We spent  $50 a wristband or $4 a ride at various mediocre rides local carnivals and festivals that truly sucked in terms of thrill ...
