Huge property

Okay we stayed for a convention for several days, much to say and report. The overall experience was great, except for our last night when hotel was invaded by tons of teenagers attending a christian fellowship thing. They sat on the floor in front of bathrooms and clogged elevators, but otherwise...I feel for the adults trying to keep them off of Bourbon St. Pool--was great. Nice breeze. Not a huge pool area, but there was a second pool in another building on other side of street car and rail tracks. Never saw it. Pool had food service available although I didn't try it. Restaurants: Loved the Drogos restaurant. Initially when we checked in we got to our room and someone was already occupying it. So back tr...

The hotel was very nice and in short walking distance to many attractions. My husband and I checked out and had been gone almost an hour before I realized my wedding rings were left in the room. I ran up to the first management per...

family friendly

If I had little kids I would definately stay here, they have a great breakfast buffet, a video game area, and a few different gift shops that stock milk, cereal etc. There is a street car that stops right in front of the hotel and two stops down you are in the french quarter, (walking it is a bit far). We were there for a GI joe convention which was really fun but after we left they had a teen christian youth group convention, which was a bit overwhelming, there were about, not exagerating, 300 kids or so walking around the lobby, maybe more. They were all very nice but it was a little crowded, lines for the elevator, long lines i the gift shop etc, so maybe before you reserve call and ask if htey are having...

Visited during Navy Week. Valet parking additional cost. Centrally located across from Harrah's Casino, Aquarium, next door to River Walk, Trolley stop by front of hotel, Drago's Seafood Restaurant in Lobby connected to exterior. Great service from in house restaurant. Hotel Baggage desk ships bags to your room. You can connect to the Riverwalk without setting foot outside. wifi is free if you have an at&t account. You just login as if you're at home. If you a Hilton Honors you can use that account. Concierge desk in lobby by rotating door. Pool: Two heated outdoor pools. Health Club or Fitness Equipment: The Health Club by Hilton offers tennis, volleyball, racquetball, basketball, full Precor Cardio Theater...

Worked well for a conference...

Came for a conference at the convention centre close by, brought my husband and toddler along. A 5-minute walk to the convention centre. Good location, close to the Fr. quarter. Had a room with a stunning river view on the 23rd floor! The room itself was nothing special and rather small. Breakfast costs 25$, a bit pricey, but then I'm not a big eater for breakfast....very good service at the breakfast buffet, though. There's a café in the lobby where you can get starbuck's coffee, fruit salad and yoghurt. (They don't have a high chair for babies, but a microwave oven that guests can use.) 12$ / day to get Wifi is way too expensive, should be included! They had two nice outdoor pools ( did only try one, was a...
