Pack light and do your laundry every couple days. Less to lug around. Laundry in each unit Valet... it's already included in your daily resort fee Bring plastic grocery bags with you. Maui has banned plastic. Drive to La Haina to get groceries at Foodland or Safeway. Foodland if you want really good Poke. Times market (across the street) is ok but not great.

YesOh YES....I would return again!
I have a family of 4 and when we vacation I like to have a separate living and kitchen. Why? I love my kids but I need some 1:1 time with the wifey. This place is the newest resort on Maui with awesome amenties. The condo we stayed in had a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, washer/dryer, flat screen tvs', and gas BBQ down on the property. There are 2 buildings Hokulani and Konea. Both are very nice but Hokulani has the coffe shop which we enjoyed having breakfast almost very morning. Duke's restaurant is also on the premises. They have pretty good food but more like Hawaiian Apple Bee's (no offense). They have 5 pools but its more like 4. Each pool is very nice but I liked th...
Wonderful
This resort was amazing. the rooms were large, with very comfortable beds! the kitchen was awesome! Viking applicances, fully stocked with plates, flatware, cooking pots/pans and baking. the view from our room was very nice, overlooking the courtyard, straight onto the beach. There were a lot of pools and hot tubs to choose from. We stayed on the Konea (sp?) building, which appeared to have less children than the other building. The customer service was great, very helpful. The supermarket across the street is pricey, as is the one near Lahaina. I would defintely reccomend stopping at the Walmart near the iarport, much better on prices. the resort is located about 10 minutes from Front street, but was in a g...
Almost perfect. (Wet carpet and all.)
My family stayed here for 2 short nights in mid June. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a one bedroom mountain view to a 2 bedroom mountain view. We thought great! I should have known that there was something wrong when we opened door. It smelled like a 1000 bottles of cleaner had been used to clean it. Despite this, it was gorgeous! On the second floor, with a wrap-around balcony. I opened the modern glass doors to air out the smell. The kids ran to their room. I went to unpack. My husband spread out to watch his very own TV in the living room. After a few minutes of walking around without my shoes, I noticed that the carpet was damp. I called down to ask if the carpet had been cleaned and they confirmed t...
Newer property north of Lahaina.
Took a family spring break vacation to Maui in March. Our children were 6 and 8 at the time. They really loved the pool, waterslide and lazy river pool. The beach is great and we built sand castles almost every day. The beach is a little rocky in front of the hotel, but if you walk south down the beach a few hundred feet near the next property, the surf calms and there are a lot fewer rocks. The resort itself is very nice condo property. There is a construction site just to the south without much going on yet. We had a mountain view room, which was pretty nice. If you are going to get a mountain view room, get something on the 5th floor or higher. The lower rooms seemed to get a little more smell from the se...
