Small but Sweet

Although the rooms are not large, they are put together to maximize space and comfort. My only recommendation would be to exclude the dogs from lounging on t...

The surfaces were all beautifully realized and the hotel is beautifulaesthetically. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and quiet. No coffeemaker in the room, and when I mentioned it to the desk clerkupon checkout, he said, "Oh, we would have supplied one for you, if youhad asked." I don't feel the customer should have to remember to ask forsomething that should have been provided to begin with. Also, the hairdryer did not work, and there weren't enough complimentary toiletries inthe room. I also can't imagine who would ever use the hotel socks thatwere hanging in the closet, to match the robes. Socks aren't something Icare to share with hundreds of other hotel guests, even if they havebeen washed, whic...

Great hotel, but don't bark your shins

This hotel is a wonderful find in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. Great service, nice restaurant, enjoyable wine reception daily. We stayed because we were traveling with family who had to bring their dogs. Some other guests were shocked by the presence of pets (we saw a fish ride up the elevator -- in a plastic container), but the animals were […] all well behaved, and there seem to be rooms for people and pets and other with no trace of having had animals. There was only one bad thing in our stay. Every member of our party of 6 barked their shins more than once on the edges of the beds, which stick out past the mattresses. The beds themselves are high quality, with nice bedding, but those corners were ...

Only complaint we had was that our first night there, the cable transmission continually went down. There was a pretty big storm that evening and the satellite dish often lost the signal. Not what I would expect given the q...
