Located at the McCarren International Airport, the Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum showcases the aviation history of the area. It also includes a fantastically restored Red Thunderbird and a Cessna. The Thunderbird was a fixture at George Crockett's Alamo Aviation from 1957 until 1968. Visitors can listen to live conversations between air traffic controllers and pilots on a radio station while at the airfield. Exhibits are located throughout the airport, above baggage claim, gates A, B, C, and D, and Terminal 2.
