I thought this monument was alright. It was not high yield on the places that I wanted to visit. There was construction when I was here so that takes away from a good expe...
This was the fourth tourist stop in D.C. for my uncle, dad, and myself. And without a doubt, it was well worth it even if it was one super long walk to check it out. Note to self: do not walk several miles in Chucks. Your feet, legs, and back will hurt afterwards. Thomas Jefferson was a great architect, philosopher, and politician. Thomas Jefferson our Third President From the Mall it took us about 20min to get over here (fast NYer's now) and en route, noticed the Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees without it's blooms (Fall now) but come April '09 --I'm sure to mark my calendar to see the flowers along the Potomac River Tidal Basin... just picturesque. Marble, Bronze TJ and his words from The Declaration of Independence --all powerful. In between the columns you can see the Washington Monument which is a cool shot. The Gift Shop is reasonably priced: tees, rulers, plates, buttons and nic-nacks of Presidents past. And, of course The Obama Family images where strongly present! All in all, It was fun and really didn't mind revisiting thi...
