Jekyll and Hyde Club was one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. I was celebrating my birthday and went there with a party of 9 adults and 2 children. We left unsatisfied. First of all, they charge $2.99 per person for simply walk into their establishment. The food was mediocre, to say the least. Our waitress brought our bill before we were finished eating, meanwhile my stepfather wanted another drink and my friends were still eating their meals. Our bill was $500 dollars (after merely ordering beverages, chicken, burgers, fries and nachos), and our waitress received an automatic $71 gratuity tip. When we tried to voice some concerns, about not realizing there was a $2.99 entrance fee, we were ...

I would typically give this place 2 if it was based soley on food and the condition of the place but the entertainment and service was so great that I had to bump it up. We ended up at Jekyll and Hyde based on the recommendation of the concierge at the hotel we were staying at in NYC. We were a group of three adults and one 10 year old so he thought this would be great for the 10 year old. Upon arriving- it looks like you're about to walk into a creepy haunted house- they make you wait until a table is ready for you inside.  Jekyll arrives outside to bring you in and beforre actually entering the restaurant, you're stuck in this litle tiny hall way in which they turn off the lights and try to scare you. Afte...

I went here for my 16th birthday with my family and it was a lot of fun, a lot of entertainment and as soon as you enter you feel like you're in a haunted mansion, it looks small on the outside but once you look up you're like WOAHHH, i was in for a great surprise [ if you like surprises go here :p ] I got t...

Kid friendly, but a bit overdone in the entertainment. The acts are loud and could cause fright in small kids. That said, the food is okay and the beer selection is de...

Worthwhile enough as tourist traps go.  It's an "experience" and it might entertain your visitors from outside of the area.  I took my family while they were in town recently and we were one of only two tables in the place during prime lunch hours, which makes me suspect that the business is bleeding money in t...

BRING THE KIDS BUT DON'T GO AS AN ADULT OUTING! So we've lived in NY for 3 1/2 years now and every year we bring our kids here for they're birthdays and they love it! They really do but I really could care less.. I think the only reason that I'm OK with it is because it beats Chuck E Cheese, which thank goodness, my kids hate. Surprising enough my 3 year old is afraid of Chuck E Cheese but wanted her BDay party at Jekyll and Hydes. Facts if you go: Your going to pay a lot-- think $200 range (four of us), especially if you are buying drinks.. if you can get over that then you'll be OK. Also the food is not terrible, it's actually pretty good but very basic and of course overpriced. Last, I ordered drinks from...

If what you want a theme restaurant, this place delivers with flying colors. If you just want a great dinner and don't want to be bothered with struggling actors making jokes at you every 10 minutes don...

This place is good for kids or teenagers. Very nice as a theme restaurant, but don't expect to get good food. It's typical American fare bar food, which I usually like, but this place doesn't do so good a job on the food. It's of average quality, just OK. I would enjoy this place more if I come here with kids, since they would enjoy it. For adults, it's not too much fun. Dining here is an experience, from the moment you walk in, and are treated to an old cheesy horror movie type intro to the décor inside. Lots of screaming going around, I think the wait staff are aspiring actors that do their best to entertain. Expect someone from the wait staff to scream on top of you as they are passing by your table. The ...

I have mixed feelings about Jekyll & Hyde. Visually, it's really a delightful experience... it's impressive how much work and attention was put into little details in every room. The library is my favorite, and it's fun to walk through the building exploring and seeing the different props, many of which move and talk. If you love horror movies, particularly Universal monster movies, you should go at least once. Sadly, the fun ends there. You will sometimes be sitting awkwardly close to other parties. The music and actors cross beyond "cheesy fun" into being outright annoying at times... I hope the kid in you is alive and well, because a lot of the performance aspects of the restaurant are definitely for kids...
