This place was great. There were easy shuttles to the parks and great restaurants in the resort. The best part were the animals roaming around the grounds- zebras, giraffes and more!

Tips for Families

Spend the extra money to get a view of the animals! Make dinner reservations ahead of time.

Charming and beautiful!

The rooms were very comfortable and the theming was wonderful! The streets were just slightly miniature and made of bricks, the lights and wrought iron work reminded one of the French Quarter. The boat played dixieland music and the trees were beautiful! We saw a cute little bunny, too!

Tips for Families

They have games and a movie right by Building 5 and they have games for ages 3 - 12 by the pool every afternoon. The salad in the food court is really good because you choose your own ingredients and the pizza and pasta is very good also.

Could have been better but not horrific!

We traveled for our daughters 13th birthday. Other than we did not receive the cake we ordered and extremely late at that with a not so friendly waitress at the onsite restaurant, it was not bad. I feel the resort is for younger children. All in all the grounds are beautiful and relaxing.

Tips for Families

Make sure to bring an umbrella! It rained the entire week we were there! Have fun!

AMAZING!

We had an amazing time! We are locals, so going to the parks wasn't a priority. Intead, we enjoyed the animals, great pool, and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit!

We have been there twice and going back again soon. We rented a golf cart to get around and that was fun in its self. The one time we went we took our 4 year old grandson and took the boat to Magic Kingdom. That was so much fun and relaxing. The campground is clean, space in between each site. Chip and Dale is out at night near the camp fire. It is a blast. Great pool too even though we didn't swim.

From the moment we drove up to the guard gate, we were greeted by smiling Disney employees. My favorite part about staying at the Grand Floridian is that it is on the monorail line and very close to the Magic Kingdom. The views of Cinderella's Castle are magical! There are lots of restaurant choices on property. The pools are well staffed with lifeguards. The landscaping is also picture perfect!

Tips for Families

Book a meal at one of the character dining experiences. The buffet is delicious and the time spent with the characters is well worth the price tag.

Amazing Family Fun

Our family had an amazing time at Disney World. There is something for ALL ages. My husband and I felt like children. It was so magical and everyday I walked through the gates I teared up just a little. It's an amazing feeling being there with your kids. The 3-D shows are amazing and very refreshing when it's so hot outside. The rides are so much fun and with fast passes it makes it a breeze. We made memories of a life time. They put on awesome fireworks shows and the parade is very exciting for all ages. It was very easy traveling with several kids all different ages. We never ran out of things to do.

Tips for Families

Get Fast Passes!! They are FREE and super easy to get. Also ALL restaurants will give you FREE water. Don't be afraid to ask. Take bottled water in with you! We were there for 5 days and we took snacks and water bottles everyday. We had to go through security and they check your bags but we never had any issues. Take advantage of the people who work there taking pics. They are everywhere and they will take your family pics and give you are card that you later can look up all your pics online and order as many as you want.

Killer location, plush rooms, and a taste of grand ol' Florida

The flagship resort at Disney World is appropriately grand and sprawling, oozing Southern charm and all the grand details of a colonial estate in Florida. The three-story lobby is simply breathtaking, rooms are plush, and the location is really fantastic -- right on the monorail for a quick zip to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. The landscaped grounds are just gorgeous (my sons were always spying tiny lizards by the footpath and pool area). My boys (10 and 13) enjoyed the pool (with cool underwater bubbling lights at night) and the water slide; they would have loved one that was faster and more thrilling--but this is just a quibble. For younger kids, the pirate-themed splash area is really fantastic. I didn't get to try out the newly revamped spa on this visit, but the word is that it is truly spectacular. Next time!

Tips for Families

This place is enormous, with several buildings that are quite spread out. If you'd rather not have to walk a far distance to get to the restaurants and park transportation, request a room close to the main building. We had quite a few of our meals at Gasparilla's, a cafeteria-style that served good food at a very reasonable price. Perfect for a quick meal before hitting Expedition Everest or Mission: Space.

So much family fun

The Magic Kingdom is a fun and wonderful place for both kids and adults. There were so many fun things to do for all of us. We went during the middle of the week in May, which was less busy than the weekends and holidays. It was a bit pricey but worth it for a once in a lifetime family vacation!

Tips for Families

I would suggest that you bring snacks and bottled water in your bag or backpack. This will help to reduce cost since food and drink can be expensive. Also there is a fast pass that everyone can use to lessen long lines.
