Other Nearby Places to Visit
With all its electric lights and elaborate shows, Las Vegas may seem anything but natural. However, families can learn about the natural world even when staying on the strip. The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is dedicated to inspiring a better understanding of the natural world in all who walk through its doors. Permanent exhibits span world history, including in their ranks Treasures of Egypt, Dinosaur Mummy CSI and the Engelstad Family Prehistoric Life Gallery. Although all these exhibits should inspire children, kids will especially enjoy the Young Scientist Center, where they can become paleontologists digging for fossils, and marine biologists exploring the depths of the ocean. Take a break from the Las Vegas lifestyle and go back to nature at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.
