* Our Tips: If you want to go just for one day try to get the discount tickets from any local market. If you want to try a 3-month membership, the best is to buy it a the nearby Carlsbad Costco (5 min away). You won't find this at any other Costco. If you decide you like it enough to go all the time you can upgrade those passes to annual passes, which are great because the parking is included and it gives you a discount on every purchase and food you buy.

Weather is weird. Cold in shade but very warm in sun so wear layers. Lots of water play areas during warm weather bring swimsuits.

Start when it opens at 10. Stay at the Sheraton next door, so you only park once and avoid ticket line. If you care about the log water ride and water park, make sure they are open before you come, especially in winter and early spring.

We always go mid-week and I always take my son out of school for this annual trip. This way you can avoid any crowds. Many rides have no wait at all, and often we have the option to stay on at the end and go again. You can find Buy One Adult, Get One Child Free tickets in the Lego Magazines.
