Nestle at the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park is a place that transports all who come back in time to a place where ancient ferns and exotic tropical plants grow undisturbed. At the lush and kid-friendly Lincoln Park Conservatory, which was constructed between 1890 and 1895 to replace a small 1870s greenhouse, families with kids of all ages will see and experience what life is like in a tropical jungle with its impressive greenhouse that showcases exotic plants, divided into four display houses - Palm House, Fern Room, Orchid House, and Show House. And just outside, where the kids have ample space to run around and where the adults can relax, is the Conservatory's tranquil conifer garden. If you time it right, you and the entire family might just be treated to the annual flower shows being held in the Show House. Whether you're looking for a tranquil space, curious about exotic flora, or just need to spend some quality time with the kids, the Lincoln Park Conservatory is just the perfect place for you and your little green thumbs.
