The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum offers a wonderful, old-fashioned outing along the Portland waterfront, that appeals to locals and visitors alike. The museum’s vintage trains travel along the harbor, providing great views while the conductor talks about the history of the train and the Portland area. Small children will enjoy wearing conductor hats and coats, and playing in the wooden trains in the museum while waiting for the ride to begin.
