Manoa Falls is a waterfall featuring a vertical drop of about 150 feet. It is accessible from the nearest road by a hike of approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km). At the bottom of the falls there is a tiny pool good for wading.

We like to do our walks/hikes first thing in the morning. We usually start at sunrise or slightly before it to avoid the heat and the crowds of tourists. Unfortunately, it worked against me this time. I missed the man at the bottom of the hill who hands out free mosquito repellent (he was there when we were leaving). The result was literally close to 20 bites on my body. The mosquitoes of Hawaii have fed off of several generations of my family (my family is from Hawaii) so apparently they were waiting for me. My bf only had one or two bites. So, definitely take the bug repellent!!! It's a leisure relatively short walk to the falls. It's good to ask the bug repellent man if the falls are flowing. This is the best hike I've ever been on visually! I totally felt like I was in a jungle. Everything was so green..so fresh and alive it was absolutely beautiful! The hike did feel a bit longer than it sounded but that was perfectly fine. The only challenge I found on this hike was trying not to slip..and I don't hike or exercise nearly as much as I used to/would like. There were a lot of families (including a lot of little kids) hiking up and down the trail...if they can do it you most likely can. Yes compared to Niagara Falls the water fall isn't nearly as big (duh) but was still gorgeous! Pictures do no justice for it in my opinion.
