As a kid, did you ever get a chance to pet a goat or milk a cow? That's exactly what Maplewood Farm offers every kid, big and small, the chance to do. The farm is a Municipal Park Farm that opened in 1975 to provide an experience of rural life that's both educational and fun. The five-acre site is home to more than 200 cows, goats, pigs, sheep, chicken, geese, ducks and turkeys. There are donkeys, horses and ponies, too. Many of the animals can be petted. And kids get a chance to observe the animals in the authentic setting of a working farm. Pony rides are available seasonally.
