The Marine Science Center lets visitors learn about the marine environment and its many inhabitants. Visitors will be taken on a journey past mangroves, alligators, whale and dolphin anatomical exhibits, a dune habitat, a wide variety of local fish and invertebrates and a 5,000-gallon aquarium. Avian-inclined guests will flock to the Bird Observation Tower, while children are encouraged to check out the Classroom Laboratory, where they can learn about animals, habitats and conservation. Additionally, there numerous rehabilitation sanctuaries where injured animals receive special care.
