Not Handicap Accesible

Submitted by: traveling mom

First let me start by saying that the staff at this hotel are nothing short of 5 star! They will do anything in their power to fulfill your needs or wants. The hotel is beautiful and they do a wonderful job of cleaning it. However the air conditioning is mediocre at best. Every time we walked in our it smelled musty. Our clothes wouldn't dry and when you lay on a pillow it always felt wet. Additionally as with most all-inclusive they stock your refrigerator daily but only two beers with soda. We asked for more beer but that was an additional charge. The beach is beautiful and very soft white sand. Word of warning wear bug spray and lots of it, the sand fleas are awful because it is almost the last resort befo...

Awesome family vacation!

All inclusive clean hotel with courteous staff. Island is BEAUTIFUL! Food was good quality, but we've had better. We were hoping for more authentic Mexican food, but they "Americanize" the food choices. Entertainment was very cool- not cheezy either. Pools were very nice. The beach is beautiful but not good for snorkeling. Found out the...

Great family getaway

Melia Cozumel All Inclusive Golf & Beach Resort is great for couples, traveling with friends or especially families with children. I traveled with friends and my 12 year old daughter, who met kids her age at the hotel and was well entertained. I got to meet a lot of repeat travelers that keep coming back. The hotel held activites for adults and children everyday, as well as nightly entertainment by the staff or guest performers. I'm not a picky eater, so I really enjoyed the hotel food. The drinks and bartenders were great as well. This hotel is very close to the airport and downtown Cozumel. The only drawback is the beach, the beach is kind of muddy looking, but clears up some when the currents aren't high,...

WARNING Over $1,000 Stolen from SAFE

Submitted by: FamilyTraveller

While staying at this hotel over $1000 was stolen out of our room safe. The front desk claimed that the only person to enter the room was the security manager, and when I demanded to see the security video of who was entering our room, the security manager threatened to call the police and have us thrown out of the hotel. We lost over $1000, all our credit cards & identification - we had no place to go, could not get a flight out of Mexico, and the hotel manager became enraged when we asked to pursue an investigation & call the consolate. An investigation is now pending, but the manager was very intimidating - he pushed into my personal space and started jabbing his finger in my face demanding that I "leave ...
